Très beau cadre dans le parc de Mersch malgré un temps très venteux et pluvieux pour l’exposition du club des lévriers luxembourgeois, Hunting Free Klinton, inscrit en classe jeune contre 2 autres, termine 3^ème excellent sous les jugements de Mr Silva (P). Quant au Multi Ch. Hunting Free Gibson, il remporte le CACL en terminant 1^er excellent en classe travail, le juge le trouvant correct en tout ! Bravo Patricia !!!

Beautiful setting in the park of Mersch despite rainy and windy conditions for the Sighthound clubshow of Luxembourg, Hunting Free Klinton, entered in junior class against two others finishes third under the judgments of Mr Silva (P). As for the Multi Ch Hunting Free Gibson, he won CACL finishing 1st excellent in working class, the judge found him right at all! Congratulations Patricia !

Au cynodrome de Beringen, avait lieu l’équivalant belge de la Nationale d’Elevage française de samedi passé, une exposition spéciale de race rassemblant 71 whippets, sous les jugements de Madame Pauline Oliver (UK). Accompagnée d’un beau soleil, une toute autre équipe des Hunting Free et apparentés étaient en présentation à ce plus grand rassemblement de l’année. Tout d’abord, le jeune Hunting Free Klinton, en classe jeune, très apprécié par la juge, termine 2^ème excellent en obtenant également son certificat d’aptitude à l’élevage (confirmation). Félicitations Patricia ! En classe travail, Celtic Free Hunter termine 2^ème Très Bon. En classe travail également, chez les filles, Canoodle’s Free Fidje termine 1^ère Très Bon dont sa joie de vivre fût très appréciée par la juge. Les 2 terminent 2^ème Couple de l’exposition. Pour sa 1^ère participation en classe champion, Hunting Free Hermione termine 4^ème excellent. Pour sa dernière présentation, à l’âge honorable de presque 14 ans, et pour lui rendre hommage, Volgai’as Xaïda termine 2^ème Très Bon, la juge la trouvant en excellente forme pour son âge, elle reçoit le prix honorifique du plus vieux whippet de l’exposition ! Bravo ma belle, toi qui m’as donné tant de joie en concours d’expo, coursing, racing et mère de nombreux champions, encore merci à ses éleveurs (Audrey, Nicole et Michel) de m’avoir confié cette femelle, cofondatrice de l’élevage Hunting Free !

On Beringen racing track, took place the belgian equivalent of the National French Specialty of last Saturday, a special breed show bringing together 71 whippets, under the judgment of Mrs Pauline Oliver (UK). Accompanied by a bright sun, a different team of Hunting Free and related were entered to the biggest gathering of the year. Firstly, the young Hunting Free Klinton, in Junior Class, highly appreciated by the judge, finished 2nd excellent also obtaining his Admission to Breed Certificate (confirmation). Congratulations Patricia ! In Working Class, Celtic Free Hunter finished 2nd Very Good. In Working Class too, for girls, Canoodle's Free Fidje got a 1st Very Good her joy of living was much appreciated by the judge. The two were 2nd in brace presentation. For her first participation in Champion Class, Hunting Free Hermione finished 4th excellent. For her last presentation at the honorable age of almost 14 years, and to honor her, Volgai'as Xaïda finished 2nd Very Good, the judge found her in excellent condition for her age, she received the honorary prize of older whippet of the show ! Congratulations my dear, you who have given me so much joy in competition show, lure coursing, racing, and mother of many champions, thanks again to her breeders (Audrey, Michel and Nicole) for entrusting me with this bitch, co-founder of Hunting Free kennel !

Pour sa 4ème participation en coursing, à l’épreuve de Poursuite à Vue sur Leurre ayant valeur de Championnat et rassemblant pas moins de 80 whippets (40 mâles & 40 femelles) jugée par Monsieur Christian Magré (F) : une excellente 2ème manche pour Dixietown Min Egen Metod qui lui permet de se classer 11ème sur 40 avec de très beaux points ! Merci encore à Jenny de m’avoir confié une femelle de qualité, tant en coursing qu’en exposition ! Aussi une excellente place pour Hunting Free Evinrude (4ème ex-aequo à 5 pts de la 1ère) ! Félicitations Dorothée et Marc ! Bref, hormis la météo, un agréable week-end entre amis avec une super ambiance.

For her 4th participation in the Lure Coursing competition, this one with championchip value and collecting not less than 80 whippets (40 dogs & 40 bitches) judged by Mr. Christian Magré (F): an excellent second round to Dixietown min Egen Metod which allows her to be ranked 11th of 40 with very good points! Une seule participante mais de qualité pour l’exposition de la Nationale d’Elevage organisée par le Club français du Whippet, au cynodrome de Parigné-l’Evêque : Dixietown Min Egen Metod était présentée en classe ouverte où elle y reçut le qualificatif excellent avec un excellent commentaire de la juge spécialiste de la race Madame Linn Jacoby-Wright (UK) ; un résultat plus que méritant vu l’importance de la classe avec 35 femelles inscrites et presque 1 heure de présentation dans le ring sous un soleil présent quasi seulement à ce moment-là. J’attends donc un beau classement pour le challenge mis en jeu…

Only one participant but a quality one at the National Specialty of the French Whippet Club, on the racing track in Parigné l'Eveque: Dixietown Min Egen Metod was presented in open class where she received Excellent with a great report from the breed specialist judge Mrs. Jacoby-Linn Wright (UK), a result more than deserving regard the importance of the class with 35 females registered and almost one hour of presentation in the ring under a sun almost only present to that time. I therefore expect a good ranking for the challenge at stake ...

Il est rare que je ne comprenne rien en Coursing mais ici, ce fut le cas, à l’épreuve internationale de la Tulipe d’Argent, près d’Amsterdam, en Hollande. Beau cadre, équipe organisatrice très sympathique, un terrain de taille moyenne avec un parcours longeant les bords et au 1er tour une courte arrivée en descente, seule une petite butte traversée par un chemin de graviers avec une légère ornière était l’endroit du circuit qui permettait une réelle sélection entre ceux qui se perdaient (minoritaires) et les autres (majoritaires). Malgré cela, Celtic Free Hunter (après une 1ère course d’une intelligence et d’une vélocité à déboyauter la machine du club) a reçu le même total de points que 2 autres ayant perdu le leurre : pas de commentaire ! La jeune Hunting Free Isatis, dans sa fougue et sa vitesse qu’elle devra apprendre à gérer, perd le leurre à la montée de la butte, cherchant le leurre durant de très longues minutes, je pensais qu’elle aurait reçu le qualificatif "excusée" mais elle reçut des points pour sa ténacité à la recherche du lapin perdu. Les seuls bons résultats de la journée furent pour la suédoise Dixietown Min Egen Metod en terminant dans le milieu du classement, mais à noter tout de même qu’elle reçoit moins de points le matin que sa coéquipière qui tombe dans l’ornière (idem en mâles), ainsi que pour Hunting Free InExcess, qui termine également dans la première moitié, prête pour le championnat d'Europe.

Mais, pour rappel, le Coursing est un simulacre de chasse : des prédateurs qui tombent ou se bousculent mangent rarement le soir !.

 

 

It is rare that I do not understand anything in lure coursing but here was the case, during the international competition "Silver Tulipe", near Amsterdam, Holland. The young Hunting Free Isatis, in her fire spirit and her speed, that she should learn to manage, loses the lure to the rise of the hill, seeking the lure for very long minutes, I thought she would have received the qualification "excused" but she received points for her tenacity in search of the lost rabbit. The only good results of the day were for the Swedish Dixietown Min Egen Metod by finishing in the middle of the ranking, but it should be noted, however, that she receives less points in the morning than her teammate falling into the rut (it was the same in dogs), and for Hunting Free InExcess, finishing also in the first half of the ranking, ready for the european championship.

But, remember, the Lure Coursing is a simulation of hunting and predators falling or scrambling rarely eat in the evening !

Coursing international à Axel (NL) toujours organisé par une équipe très sympathique et sur un site agréable pour la compétition et les promenades : c’était le 1^er coursing de la saison pour Celtic Free Hunter avec 2 très belles courses démontrant comme à son habitude, son intelligence et son ardeur de chasseur faisant accélérer le leurre à plusieurs endroits du parcours ; mais malgré cela, il ne se place que 19è sur 25 ! Hunting Free Eternity termine à une honorable 14^ème place pour son âge. Quant à la femelle Dixietown Min Egen Metod, après un mauvais 1^er tour où elle fut surprise par le manque de bruit du système de traction (électrique) et par celui plus important des poulies, elle démontra un très beau 2^ème tour mais ce qui ne lui permet toutefois pas de rattraper le retard du matin et se classe 23è sur 25.

1er coursing de l'année à Vien. Les résultats:

Whippets sprinter : victoire de Hunting Free Dreamer sur un jeune concurrent, félicitations Lucien ! Whippets mâles : très mauvaise journée pour eux, le Multi Ch. Hunting Free Dinky termine dernier car démontrant trop de métier, Hunting Free Jazz est bousculé violemment par un soi-disant accompagnateur attaqueur (j’en profite pour rappeler à ce titre que la moindre des choses est de s’assurer que l’accompagnateur est digne de confiance et de ne pas en profiter pour voir ce que ce dernier fera, un accompagnateur doit bien porter son nom et non être un « testeur », car malgré les regrets et excuses, le mal est fait et le jeune Jazz pourrait en garder des séquelles morales et ne plus jamais vouloir courir alors qu’il s’agissait de son premier coursing, c’est regrettable) ; mais surtout le pauvre Hunting Free Ispeedo, blessé sérieusement à une patte avant après le 1er tour et qui voit sa jeune carrière sportive compromise : mais dans son malheur, il a de la chance, avoir des maîtres qui feront tout pour lui prodiguer les meilleurs soins sans compter les nombreux câlins nécessaires à une bonne récupération, courage Fabienne et Philippe ! La famille Hunting Free et amis sincères vous soutiennent de tout cœur !

Whippets femelles : Une très belle victoire pour Hunting Free InExcess qui termine 1^ère CACBL sur 15, Meilleure Petites Races et Meilleure du Jour !!! Félicitations Nicole et Michel !!! Sa sœur Hunting Free Ines termine 10^ème. Les 4 dernières places sont respectivement pour Dixietown Min Egen Metod et Hunting Free Hera qui ont pourtant effectué 2 très belles courses, suivie par Hunting Free Eternity et, pour son 1^er coursing, Hunting Free Isatis termine dernière suite à une perte du leurre l’après-midi (c’est le métier qui rentre). Encore un grand merci aux nombreux bénévoles de notre club et d’autres pour l’aide apportée lors de l’organisation de ce coursing très estival pour la saison !

The last 4 places respectively for Dixietown Min Egen Metod and Hunting Free Hera who nevertheless made two very good races, followed by Hunting Free Eternity and for his first coursing, Hunting Free Isatis finishes last after a loss of the lure in the afternoon (this is the job that fits). Another big thank to all the volunteers of our club and others for their help in organizing this very springy coursing for season!

Bravo Fabienne et Philippe ! Hunting Free Jazz, un peu stressé par sa 1ère participation, obtient 3ème Excellent en Classe Intermédiaire, ainsi que le Certificat d'Admission à l'Elevage. Félicitations à la famille Descamps.

Chez les filles, Hunting Free Joyce reçoit 1er Excellent en Classe Intermédiaire, elle obtient également le Certificat d'Admission à l'Elevage. Freedom du Domaine des Chojnacki, engagée en Classe Ouverte, obtient 4ème Excellent.
